The BpAI-Biophotonics & Artificial Intelligence School was born in 2022 by the minds of Andrea Barucci, Ambra Giannetti and Francesca Rossi. All of them works as researchers at the Institute of Applied Physics-CNR in Florence but in different areas. Thanks to their different research fields ranging from optical biosensor, photonics and Artificial Intelligence, the idea of the BpAI School was born.

The school started with the goal of exploring the crossroads between these disciplines and creating a training path for the development of AI applications in the field of Biophotonics. This school brings together expert in Biophotonic technologies and Artificial Intelligence, who will share knowledge and skills with the participants in an interdisciplinary context, aimed ai understanding, designing and advancing complex biophotonics application thanks to the new data analysis technologies with the help of Artificial Intelligence methods.
